How it is madeA turbulence stencil eroded by 5 and subtracted from itself, so only each island’s RIM survives, and at threshold 0.24 the islands touch, so those rims join into a closed web. Two earlier versions gave soft blobs and then loose rings: a caustic is LINES, and thresholding a field of any kind gives areas.
