How it is madeFive rings of 4 to 11 leaves, each ring rotated off the last so no leaf hides behind another, drawn outer-first so the inner rings stack on top as the plant grows. The value ramps dark outer to pale centre; the outer two rings get a blushed tip, which is what the plant does in strong sun.
