How it is madeA shaft that sags a tenth of its run and then goes STRAIGHT for its last 38%, and two barbs of different lengths hung off that straight run at 36 and 40 degrees. The straight run exists because the head has to be aimed at the direction the eye reads, and two earlier builds aimed it off the tangent at the tip instead, which on a bowed shaft is eight degrees away and comes out as a hook with a whisker. The bow was pulled back at the same time: a hairpin shaft passes through the space one of its own barbs needs.
