The bottom of a ripped sheet: a section divider, the base of a header block, a collage element over a photograph.

How it is madeA boundary of two slow waves plus a tooth that flips side at 78% of the points, so runs of two on the same side break the period. The first build alternated strictly at 92 points and rendered as a COMB, which looked like an audio waveform rather than paper: a perfectly periodic zigzag is a machine cut, and a purely random one is a wobble. Then a gradient band beneath so the sheet sits on something, the paper, a lighter lip along the break where the tear exposes the unsized core of the stock, and about eighteen loose fibres. The lip is the part usually left out, and without it this is a shape with a jagged outline.
