How it is madeWarp and weft on a 16 unit pitch, 25 threads across, laid in three passes so the weft comes back over every second crossing. Pitch is jittered 8 percent, thickness 17 percent, and about one thread in six carries a slub. A fractal-noise alpha wash on top is the fibre; the threads themselves are gradients, not flat fills, so each one reads as round.
