How it is madeThe escalonado meander on a 16-unit module grid: ribbon one module thick, unit ten modules wide, every gap between two runs exactly one module including across the join to the next unit. That uniform gap is the difference between a fret and a squiggle. The same geometry is drawn once in shadow at a fifth of a module down and right, which gives the relief without a filter.
