How it is madeA tapered stem leaves the corner boss on a long diagonal and four logarithmic spirals, r = a times e to the b theta, spring from points along it, each ribbon half-width held at 0.30 of the local radius so the taper is the spiral own and the coil never crowds itself as it winds in. The scrolls are anchored by solving for the centre rather than placed by eye: a spiral outer end sits at radius a and angle rot from its centre, so centre = stem point minus a times (cos rot, sin rot). The first build was one large spiral in the middle of the box and read as a comma; the second had the stem but left the scrolls floating beside it. Three leaves sit on the stem tangent, ground left transparent because a corner piece sits on whatever it frames.
