A woven cord band for a heading, a book or album cover, a divider, or a frame edge. The period divides the width exactly so copies butt cleanly.

How it is madeTwo cords on the same sine out of phase, crossing every half period. The over-and-under is draw order, not masking: both cords go down, then the stretches of the first around every second crossing are drawn again on top. Two cords crossing with a consistent winner read as one lying on the other rather than as weaving. Each cord is a dark casing with a cream core, which is what gives the crossings an edge at card size.
