How it is madeOne spine of two joined cubics, a fat sweep up the right side and a hook curling back at the top, with a width profile peaking just above the base and going to zero at the tip. The nested bands are the same spine at 0.60 and 0.44 of the width, which are true insets and stay parallel round the curl; a scaled copy would not. The dot trim rides that spine at 1.30 of the width and stops once the profile falls below 0.22, so the dots never crowd the tip.
