How it is madeThe single meander at one module thick on a 14-unit grid, unit six modules wide over a continuous rail, uprights at x equals 1, 3 and 5 so every gap is exactly one module and the join to the next unit keeps it. The spiral ends at (3,4) with no inward stub on purpose: the obvious stub would run its end cap into the next upright cap and close the spiral into a blob, which is the usual way a drawn key goes wrong.
