How it is madeThree concentric registers of alternating wedges from a point on the bottom edge, at 0.30-0.58, 0.62-0.88 and 0.90-1.00 of the radius. Wedge counts double outward (10, 20, 20) so the arc length of a wedge stays roughly constant and no band collapses into a grey smear at card size. Three gold rays cross the whole fan; the duty cycle of each band is set separately so the middle register is the one that carries.
